GOD HAS A WILL

HE WANTS US TO KNOW HIS WILL

Therefore do not be foolish, but
understand what the will of the
Lord is. Ephesians 5:17

HE WANTS US TO LIVE HIS WILL

And the world Is passing away, and
the lust of it; but he who does the will
of God abides forever. 1^st John 2:17

Jesus said to them, “My food is to do
the will of Him who sent Me, and to
finish His work. John 4:34

GOD HAS A SOVEREIGN WILL

All the inhabitants of the earth are
reputed as nothing; He does according
to His will in the army of heaven And
among the inhabitants of the earth. No
one can restrain His hand Or say to Him,
“What have You done?” Daniel 4:35

Our God is in the heavens; he does
all that he pleases. Psalm 115:3

Many are the plans in the mind of a
man, but it is the purpose of the
Lord that will stand. Proverbs 19:21

The Lord has made everything for
its purpose, even the wicked for
the day of trouble. Proverbs 16:4

HE WANTS US TO SEEK HIM

But seek first the kingdom of God and
his righteousness, and all these things
will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his
presence continually! 1^st Chronicles 16:11

And without faith it is impossible to please
him, for whoever would draw near to God
must believe that he exists and that he
rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And
delivered me from all my fears. Psalms 34:4

HE WANTS US TO READ HIS WORD
 
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. John 1:1
 
But he answered, “It is written,
“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from
the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4
 
So then faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

HE WANTS US TO TRUST HIM

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and
do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he
will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on
His faithfulness. Delight yourself
also in the Lord, And He shall give
you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:3

HE WANTS US SPIRIT LEAD

For as many as are led by
the Spirit of God, these are
sons of God. Romans 8:14

I will instruct you and teach you
in the way you should go; I will
guide you with My eye. Psalms 32:8

And he who searches hearts knows
what is the mind of the Spirit, because
the Spirit intercedes for the saints
according to the will of God. Romans 8:27

TO OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS

Therefore you shall keep My
commandments, and perform
them: I am the Lord. Leviticus 22:31

My son, do not forget my law, But let
your heart keep my commands; For
length of days and long life And peace
they will add to you. Proverbs 3:1

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS
You shall have no other gods before me
You shall not make yourself a carved image
You shall not take the name of the Lord in vain
Remember the Sabbath day
Honor your mother and father
You shall not murder
You shall not commit adultery
You shall not steal
You shall not bear false witness
You shall not covet

IT IS THE PATH TO HIS KINGDOM
 
Not everyone who says to Me,
‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom
of heaven, but he who does the will
of My Father in heaven. Matthew 7:21

Your Kingdom come. Your will
be done. On earth as it is in
heaven. Matthew 6:10

HE WANTS US TO BE SAVED

For this is good and acceptable in the
sight of God our Savior, who desires
all men to be saved and to come to the
knowledge of the truth. 1^st Timothy 2:3

Because, if you confess with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved. Romans 10:9

HE WANTS US TO BE SANCTIFIED

For this is the will of God, your
sanctification: that you abstain
from sexual immorality.
1^st Thessalonians 4:3

HE WANTS US TO REPENT

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his
promise as some count slowness,
but is patient toward you, not
wishing that any should perish,
but that all should reach
repentance. 2^nd Peter 3:9

HE WANTS TO TRANSFORM US

Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewal
of your mind, that by testing you
may discern what is the will of God,
what is good and acceptable and
perfect. Romans 12:2

That he no longer should live the rest
of his time in the flesh for the lusts of
men, but for the will of God. 1^st Peter 4:2

HE WANTS US TO BE HUMBLE

He has told you, O man, what is
good; and what does the Lord
require of you but to do justice,
and to love kindness, and to walk
humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Therefore submit to God.
Resist the devil and he will
flee from you. James 4:7

HE WANTS US TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE

For the wages of sin is death, but the
free gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

And this is the will of Him who
sent Me, that everyone who sees
the son and believes in Him may
have everlasting life; and I will raise
him up at the last day. John 6:40

HE WANTS US TO PRAY

Then you will call upon Me and go
and pray to Me, and I will listen to
you. And you will seek Me and find
Me, when you search for Me with
all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12

HE WANTS US TO BE THANKFUL

Give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus for you. 1^st Thessalonians 5:18

HE WANTS TO BLESS US

For you have need of endurance,
so that when you have done the
will of God you may receive what
is promised. Hebrews 10:36

And we know that for those who love
God all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to
his purpose. Romans 8:28

He also opens their ear to instruction,
And commands that they turn from
iniquity. If they obey and serve Him,
They shall spend their days in prosperity,
And their years in pleasures. Job 36:10

HE WANTS US TO BE PATIENT

The Lord is good to those who wait
for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and
wait quietly for the salvation of the
Lord. Lamentations 3:25

Rest in the Lord, and wait
patiently for Him. Psalms 37:7

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret–it only causes harm. For
evildoers shall be cut off; But those
who wait on the Lord, They shall
inherit the earth. Psalms 37:8
 
HE WANTS US TO HELP THE POOR

He who gives to the poor will not lack,
But he who hides his eyes will have
many curses. Proverbs 28:27

He who has pity on the poor lends to
the Lord, And He will pay back what
he has given. Proverbs 19:17

HE WANTS US TO SUFFER

For it is better to suffer for doing
good, if that should be God’s will,
than for doing evil. 1^st Peter 3:17

Therefore let those who suffer according
to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful
Creator while doing good. 1^st Peter 4:19

But may the God of all grace, who
called us to His eternal glory by
Christ Jesus, after you have suffered
a while, perfect, establish, strengthen,
and settle you. 1^st Peter 5:10

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities,
in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions,
in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when
I am weak, then I am strong.
2^nd Corinthians 12:10
 
GOD HAS THINGS HE DOES NOT LIKE
 
Now the works of the flesh are evident:
sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy,
fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions,
divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies,
and things like these.

I warn you, as I warned you before,
that those who do such things will
not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:19
 
You shall not lie with a male as with
a woman. It is an abomination. Nor
shall you mate with any animal, to
defile yourself with it. Nor shall any
woman stand before an animal to
mate with it. It is perversion.
Leviticus 18:22

For this reason God gave them up to
vile passions. For even their women
exchanged the natural use for what
is against nature.

Likewise, also the men, leaving the
natural use of the woman, burned in
their lust for one another, men with
men committing what is shameful,
and receiving in themselves the
penalty of their error which was due.
Romans 1:26

A woman shall not wear anything that
pertains to a man, nor shall a man put
on a woman’s garment, for all who do
so are an abomination to the Lord
your God. Deuteronomy 22:5

For whoever commits any of these
abominations, the persons who
commit them shall be cut off from
among their people.

Therefore, you shall keep My
ordinance, so that you do not
commit any of these abominable
customs which were committed
before you, and that you do not
defile yourselves by them: I am
the Lord your God. Leviticus 18:29
